What we keep

For an account holder, the shop keeps three things: the email address, a hash of the password (never the password itself), and the API keys issued to that account. Nothing else about a person is stored.

What we never keep

The data collected on your behalf — businesses, job postings, transcripts, the verdict on an email address — passes through the call and is returned to you. It isn't logged, resold, or retained after the response is sent.

Payment

Payments run through Stripe. Card details are entered on Stripe's side and never reach our servers: the shop stores no card number and no banking credential, only Stripe's own customer and subscription identifiers.

The MCP channel and your key

The MCP server is a thin proxy. Your API key lives in the configuration of your own MCP client (Claude Desktop, Cursor, Cline…) — for the desktop extension it is held by the client's secure storage. The server reads the key from its environment to sign each call to the REST API and holds it only in memory for the life of the process; it writes it nowhere. No prompt, tool input, or result is sent to any third party beyond the RankFabrik API the tool is calling.

Cookies and measurement

The site ships no JavaScript by default and sets a single cookie — the session cookie that keeps you signed in. There are no advertising trackers. When audience measurement is enabled it uses a self-hosted Matomo instance and sets no third-party advertising cookie.

Personal data you collect

When the data you collect concerns natural persons, you are its controller under the General Data Protection Regulation. RankFabrik acts only as the tool that returns it; the lawful basis and use of that data remain yours.

Processors

Two third parties process data for the service: Stripe (payments) and the hosting provider that runs the servers. Neither receives the results of your calls.

Your rights

Access, correction, or deletion of your account and its keys is requested at [email protected]. Deleting the account takes its keys down with it.

Independence

RankFabrik isn't affiliated with any of the platforms whose public data is collected, nor with the MCP clients through which the tools are used.
